How's that whole "turn in your guns to the government" working for ya down under? Maybe you could have benefited from some Tea Party ideals.
CthulthuDownUnder - September 14, 2014, 10:55 pm,
Tea Party ideals? I spit out my "tea" over that one. You're a funny man: (factoid)Even w/population proportionally weighed, the gun death rate is under 1/100,000 – less than one-tenth the US rate. On gun homicide rates, the US outstrips Australia 30-fold
terroraustralis - September 15, 2014, 1:02 am,
you think we had any choice in the matter? our democracy is just as false as yours, our people have no real power, just like how your people have no power. we're all slaves to the whims of f***head politicians and their "think of the children!" mentality.
Zeitguy - September 14, 2014, 10:39 pm,
BTW the tea party had nothing to do with any wars in Iraq.
CthulthuDownUnder - September 14, 2014, 11:05 pm,
You can blame Palin and the neo-cons for your misinformation. They co-opted the Teabaggers and whatever libertarian values they stood for was replaced by their agenda. The Neo-cons are very much to blame for the failure of war in Iraq.Read "Tea-O-Conned"
Zeitguy - September 14, 2014, 10:46 pm,
You may want to direct you ire towards the corporate military elitists.
CthulthuDownUnder - September 14, 2014, 11:12 pm,
Aye,"corporate military elitists",eh? Should I show you the wealth of public records showing you WHAT faction of the Republican party they quietly funded for the 2010 take over of your Congress? Rhymes with p e e. Enough laughs for one night. Take it easy
terroraustralis - September 15, 2014, 1:18 am,
easy now, we're all friends here. and it doesnt take a genius to notice that the tea party is funded by aforementioned "corporate military elites"
CthulthuDownUnder - September 15, 2014, 1:31 am,
it might not take a"genius."but what kills me is all the IDIOTS out there that don't think $$$ from lobbyists and special interests groups play a roll. So much for campaign finance reform. Check this out, Terror: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLfFKJFV0Yc
JGalt - September 15, 2014, 6:26 am,
so now that we've established that a movement has been hijacked, and conned, (which I already recognized very quickly) you still condemn the ideals of liberty, freedom and small government as bad?
terroraustralis - September 15, 2014, 10:40 am,
no, just the scumbag f***tard movement filled with anarcho-capitalists known as the tea party. no true libertarians b**** about taxes in a time when the first, second, fourth and fifth ammendments to the constitution are on the government's kill list.
terroraustralis - September 15, 2014, 10:44 am,
its like being held hostage by terrorists and complaining to them about the weather while they hit you. the tea party is a sick joke intended to repulse ordinary people away from libertarianism.
Curlyrocks - September 15, 2014, 1:51 pm,
Taxes are always an issue worth discussing. It's how the government legitimizes weaking us and making its self stronger. Without taxes they woulden't have the strenght to attack the constitution.
EmmaRoydes - September 15, 2014, 2:07 pm,
which, of course, is the original intent and core of the tea party movement. The hijacking of the movement doesn't make the core any less legitimate.
EmmaRoydes - September 15, 2014, 2:08 pm,
which leads to the question: What part of the tea party do you find offensive or not legitimate?
EmmaRoydes - September 15, 2014, 2:12 pm,
without bringing individual people like bachman or fundamentalists into the discussion. Neither of those defines what the tea party is.
terroraustralis - September 15, 2014, 11:13 pm,
without taxes they'd just be borrowing the money, they love borrowing money. hence why the US federal government is 16 trillion dollars in debt.
terroraustralis - September 15, 2014, 11:14 pm,
anarcho capitalists oppose taxes, but they dont give a f*** about the 4th and 5th ammendments to the constitution. THAT is only one of the things that seperate them from libertarians. the tea party should STOP calling themselves what they arent.
terroraustralis - September 15, 2014, 11:26 pm,
its like RINOS calling themselves republicans, "republican in name only" politicians should not be allowed to call themselves republicans.
EmmaRoydes - September 15, 2014, 11:54 pm,
Wrong answer. The tea party believes in smaller government which translates to less taxes. If you add in a fair tax, the IRS gets abolished and tax payers get to keep their entire paychecks. What makes you think the tea party doesn't care about the 4th
EmmaRoydes - September 15, 2014, 11:55 pm,
and 5th amendments? The tea party believes in adhering to the constitution which includes all of the amendments. Your problem is that you are a**ociating the fringe with the rest of the tea party.
EmmaRoydes - September 15, 2014, 11:56 pm,
You are absolutely right about the RINOS, but that's not the tea party, that's just idiots that claim to be republicans that are controlled by big business and self-interests rather than the will of the people who put them in office.
EmmaRoydes - September 15, 2014, 11:58 pm,
I can see that you know nothing about the tea party and what it actually stands for. Rule out the fringe (like you should do with any political organization) and see what they really are all about. You will be surprised to see that the tea party and
EmmaRoydes - September 16, 2014, 12:00 am,
libertarians are essentially the same thing. It's all about constitution and especially government by and for the people.
EmmaRoydes - September 16, 2014, 12:08 am,
The statement: "The Tea Party includes those who possess a strong belief in the foundational Judeo-Christian values embedded in our great founding documents" instills the mistaken belief that the tea party is a fundie organization. It's equivalent to say
EmmaRoydes - September 16, 2014, 12:09 am,
ing the USA includes those who are incarcerated. It doesn't mean that ALL Americans are incarcerated.
EmmaRoydes - September 16, 2014, 12:11 am,
It also means that the fundamental beliefs and intents of the founders are guides to Americanism.
